Here’s a little poster I created specifically for the sidebar portion of my illustration blog. I designed it with a teaser add for a summer blockbuster in mind. When I was a kid, I always loved those kinds of movie posters. They created a sense of awe and mystery, and hopefully that same feeling will help generate some excitement over the release of my book.

Nice! I love it. Do you do all your working digitally? Tell me a bit about your process. I'd really like to know how you create your imagery.

Ami,
Yeah, I work digitally, in Adobe Photoshop to be exact. But everything always starts off as an ink drawing first. In the future we should all create post based around your question. We should show our process. I would love to see that!

Hey Josh, how’s it going? Yeah, what can I say, I love those old westerns. The finale illustration in Gwango’s Lonesome Trail is a subtle tribute to the finale shot in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. I'm a big fan of those flicks!

How did you get a photograph of a dinosaur? My teacher told me that they were extinct.
